If you’ve lived in Winston-Salem during the holiday season, then you’re familiar with UNCSA’s production of “The Nutcracker.”
But did you know that when the production first began in 2009, it took the original dancers 206 hours to learn the choreography? Don’t forget to factor in an additional 60 hours of technical and dress rehearsals before opening night.
Each year, more than 100 students perform in the production of “The Nutcracker,” bringing people out in droves to catch the classic Christmas story.
This year, as the production nears, we wanted to show what goes on behind the scenes — literally.
