Wake Forest's men's basketball team has one chance to re-establish momentum before heading to Greensboro.

In the process, the Deacons can play the role of spoiler for NCAA Tournament hopeful N.C. State and keep alive hopes to avoid a Tuesday game in the first round of the ACC Tournament in Greensboro.

The Deacons enter the weekend as one of four teams in the league with six ACC wins (Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Miami are the others), while Virginia Tech and Boston College each have seven wins. Pitt's regular season is complete and the Panthers are guaranteed a Tuesday game — leaving two of those teams fighting for berths to Wednesday’s second round and three that will play Tuesday.

No ACC team in the short history of the expanded tournament has won five games to win the championship, so it’s either play your way out of the first round or do something never done before.
