Colin Peluse was a ninth-round pick of the Oakland Athletics, and he signed with the team earlier this week.

The four juniors from Wake Forest’s baseball team have all signed with the teams that drafted them last week.

Right-handed pitchers Colin Peluse and Morgan McSweeney have signed with the Athletics and Orioles, respectively, while shortstop Patrick Frick signed with the Mariners, and left-handed pitcher Carter Bach signed with the Rays — all in the last few days.

Peluse was the Athletics’ ninth-round pick and was given a signing bonus of $149,300, which is the full slot value for being the 284th overall pick.

Signing bonuses weren’t announced for Frick (14th-round pick), McSweeney (17th round) or Bach (34th round).

This leaves two players to keep an eye on for the Deacons: Chris Lanzilli, a sophomore outfielder and the 39th-round pick of the Giants, and Blake Loubier, a signee and pitcher who was the 13th-round pick of the Red Sox. Lanzilli has reported to his team in the Cape Cod League, the Harwich Mariners.

The signing deadline is 5 p.m. July 12.
