Kernersville November 7, 1973 - June 7, 2016 Mr. Charlie Lee Joe Jr., 42, of Charlotte, NC and 215 Christi Lane, Kernersville, NC transitioned to his heavenly home on June 7, 2016 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte NC. He was a 1992 graduate of North Forsyth High School, Winston-Salem and a 1997 graduate of NC A&T University, Greensboro. He was employed by Interplast Group of Charlotte, NC. Mr. Joe was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Seal E. Tyndall, where he received the teachings of Jesus; personally accepted Jesus Christ as Savior; was baptized and served as an usher and participated in youth missions in his early years. Charlie is loved by his family and friends and is survived by his devoted friend, Ms. Kesha Harris, of Charlotte; mother , Mrs. Ether S. Joe of Kernersville; his sister, Mrs. Erica J. Baker; jis brother-in-law, Jimmy Baker; his nieces, Jada S. and Iyon M. Baker; and his nephew, Saven T. Baker all of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts,cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 12:00 noon from Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Lester Boyd, Jr. officiating and interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the church. The remains may be viewed today from 2 until 6pm at Douthit's. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
