Catherine was born in Wilkes County, NC on April 24, 1926, the youngest of ten children, to John M. and Pearlie Day Welborn. She married T. Harold Daniel on August 21, 1948. She loved her many years of work as a cashier with K&W Cafeterias until her retirement. In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased in death by her husband, Harold, and her son-in-law, Jeff Pendry. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda K. Daniel of Colorado Springs, CO, Deborah A. Daniel and husband, John Ratliff, of Helena, MT, and Catherine D. Pendry Rhudy and her husband, Stephen, of Winston-Salem, NC. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Daniel Pendry and his wife, Rachel, Meredith Pendry Tuttle and her husband, Trey, David Pendry, Dalton Pendry and his wife, Hope, and Madelyn Pendry; four step-grandchildren, Jason Ratliff and his wife, Scarlet, Melissa Ratliff, Brandon Ratliff and his wife, Michelle, and Elizabeth Rhudy. She loved her grandchildren with all her being and, had dementia not taken its toll, she also would have greatly celebrated her great-grandchildren, Maycie Tuttle and Maxson Pendry, and step-great-grandchildren Mason, Layla and Logan Ratliff. She is also survived by her sister, Mattie Morgan of Rices Landing, PA and an abundance of nieces and nephews, many who faithfully stayed connected throughout her life. The family would like to thank Village Care of King for their caring efforts. Funeral services will be held at Frank Vogler & Sons in Clemmons, NC on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1PM. The family will receive friends and family for one hour immediately after the service. Catherine, Mama, Memaw...by whatever name she was called, she was loved greatly and will be deeply missed...may she rest peacefully now.
