A Winston-Salem man has been arrested for his alleged role in 18 store break-ins that have happened since mid-May, authorities said Thursday.

James Wesley Rawls, 46, of Old Greensboro Road was charged with eight counts of felony breaking and entering, seven counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering and two counts of felony attempted breaking and entering, Winston-Salem police said.

Rawls was being held Thursday in the Forsyth County Jail with his bond set at $150,000, police said. Rawls is scheduled to appear in court on July 11.

Investigators determined that all 18 store break-ins were related, police said. Some stores were broken into several times.
