A Rowan County man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a bank robbery in Lexington earlier this month, authorities said Thursday.

Joshua Wayne McHone, 35, of Gold Hill was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, Lexington police said. Investigators linked McHone to an armed robbery that happened May 10 at First National Bank at 298 Lowes Blvd. in Lexington, police said.

McHone also was served with four additional warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon after investigators accused him of committing robberies in other cities, including Clemmons, Charlotte, Concord and Albemarle, police said.

McHone was being held Thursday in the Davidson County Jail with his bond set at $525,000, police said.
