HIGH POINT — Police charged a High Point woman Thursday evening after they said she shot into a crowd of 30 people.
Carlissa Clark, 31, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm into occupied property and resisting an public officer, a High Point Police news release stated.
Police said officers responded at 7:30 p.m. to a public disturbance involving around 30 people in the 300 block of Ardale Drive.
Officers said the first responding officer saw Clark shooting into the crowd.
Investigators said when Clark saw the officer she tried to flee on foot but was apprehended and was carrying a 9 mm handgun.
Clark is in the Guilford County jail under a $200,000 bail.
