illiam Brinson Taylor, both of Raleigh, were married at 5:30 p.m. August 18, 2018 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem with the Reverend Craig Ford officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Leslie Barnes, Jr. of Winston-Salem, Her maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. James Peter Marakas. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. John Leslie Barnes of Burlington and the late Ruth Felton Barnes. The bride holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from North Carolina State University and is a sales representative at
NetApp in Research Triangle.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Russell
Taylor, Jr. of Winston-Salem. His maternal grandparents are the late Dorothy Wynne Stephens and the late Edward Waldo Stephens. His paternal grandparents are the late Col. and Mrs. Daniel Russell Taylor. The groom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the Wake Forest University School of Business. He is an associate in the law firm of Manning, Fulton and Skinner, P.A. in Raleigh.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was her sister, Anna Kathryn Barnes, of Greensboro, and the matron of honor was her sister, Margaret Barnes-Davis, of Winston-Salem. Sydney Adair Barnes and Chloe Elizabeth Davis, nieces of the bride, and Elizabeth Wynne Taylor, niece of the groom.
The best men were the groom’s father, Daniel R. Taylor, Jr., and brother, Edward
Winslow Taylor. The groomsmen were Nicholas Clarence Chapman Stewart of Charleston, S.C., John Colvin Page of Raleigh, Dean Franklin Woodall of Raleigh, and William
Harrison Parker of Washington, D.C.
The musicians were Dr.
Susan Bates, organist, and Anita Cirba, trumpeter.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Spring House. The rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at The Barn at Reynolda.
After a wedding trip to Portugal, the couple will live in Raleigh.
