Elizabeth Amburn Ward and Charles Lamar Roediger III, both of Winston-Salem were married at 6 p.m. December 8, 2018 in First Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem. The Rev. Peter Barnes officiated.
The bride is the daughter of William Goode and Corinne Miller Ward of Winston-Salem. Her grandparents are Charles and Nancy Miller, and Betsy Miller, all of Winston-Salem, and the late Jule and Jane Ward.
The bride graduated from Wake Forest University and received a masters degree from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta. She is the president of Sunshine Beverages in Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son Charles Lamar Roediger Jr. and Rebecca Gantt Roediger of Bermuda Run and Garden City, SC. His grandparents were the late Melvin and Dot Gantt and the late Charlie and Peggy Roediger.
The groom graduated from Clemson University where he played football from 2004-2008.
He is employed in Winston-Salem by SouthTech Orthopedics as Sales Team Leader.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maids of honor were Cori Ward and Marygrace Ward, the bride’s sisters.
The bridesmaids were Laurian Roediger, the groom’s sister and Catherine Smith Farley, both of Raleigh; Natalie Braswell Broyhill, Kathryn Smith Simpson and Parker Kelly Tegeler, all of Winston-Salem; Ellery Hart Day of San
Franciscoe; Sarah Nelson of Brooklyn, NY; and Stacey Naggier of London, UK.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Bo Ward, the bride’s brother, Tyler Burr, Bobby Cooper and Kevin Shamburg, all of Winston-Salem; Clayton Crantford and Michael Wade, both of Charleston, SC; William Hinkle of Portsmouth, NH; Michael Palmer of Milton, GA; and Alex Pearson of Easley, SC.
The ushers were Russell Dean, and Wrenn Wells, both of Winston-Salem; James Maners of Nashville.
Other participants in the ceremony were Sarah Kay, reader; Emilia Lopez and Maddie Webb, flower girls: Wyatt Webb, ring bearer; Ellie Webb, Katie Miller and Liza Wooten, greeters.
The couple live in Winston-Salem.
