Elizabeth Aycock Krewson and William Israel McCall, both of Durham were married at 6 p.m. September 15,2018 in Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. The Rev. Dr. Jeremy Pegram and the Rev. Edgar McCall officiated the ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Scott Krewson of Winston-Salem. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lippincott Krewson. She graduated from Summit School in Winston-Salem, and Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville. The bride graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh with a B.S. in biochemistry and a B.A. in chemistry. She has a doctorate in anatomy and cell biology. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Liz is the general manager of HW Andersen Products of California in Haw River.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William Vaughn McCall of Augusta, GA. His maternal grandfather is Dr. James Ray Israel. His paternal grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. William McCall Jr. The groom graduated from Summit School and Mt. Tabor High School, both in Winston-Salem. He graduated from NC State University with a B.S. in engineering and received a master’s degree in engineering management from Duke University. He is a manufacturing engineer at AKG of America in Mebane. William is a member of Tau Beta Pi, - Engineering Honor Society.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an ivory Italian satin tank style gown with an empire bodice delicately enhanced with an intricate beading pattern of seed pearls, crystals and mini silver beads and beautifully beaded straps. The princess seamed A-line skirt flowed into a chapel length train. Satin covered buttons adorned the back bodice and beaded appliques enhance the skirt and train. An Alençon lace bateau neckline bolero jacket with cap sleeves and back button closure complemented the gown. Her full-length veil of illusion was enhanced with a scalloped floral Alençon lace and rolled pencil stitch edge.

The maid of honor was Emily Scott Krewson, the bride’s sister. The bridesmaids were Abigail Lancaster Gardner, Catherine Whaling McCoy, Carly Brown Bowie, Meredith Wilson Bynum, and Maggie Fitzmaurice Adams.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were James Vaughn McCall, John McLain McCall, Zachary Ray Israel, Peter Joseph Domenig, Robin Kasey Harton and Ryan Goffrid Springer.

Wedding music was provided by Susan Bates, organist, and Douglas W. Peninger, soloist.

The greeters were Ashley Beach Brooks and Adele Watkins Roberts.

Julia Hadley Davis and Elizabeth Clark Long Wilson were the program attendants.

The flowers were designed by Green Bee Floral Designs.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Old Town Country Club in Winston-Salem. Reception music was provided by Atlanta Showstoppers Band. The live event artist, Daniel Nelson, painted the bride and groom’s first dance.

The wedding cake was provided by Regi Originals. The groom’s cake was provided by For Goodness Cakes.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Old Town Country Club.

After the rehearsal dinner a party was given by the bride and groom’s parents’ friends.

In May an engagement party was given by the wedding party and the families of the bride and groom.

A bridal luncheon and shower was given in June by friends of Liz and William.

On Sunday, September 16th, a brunch was hosted by the groom’s parents and friends and family at Brookstown Inn.

Following a honeymoon trip to Bermuda, the couple will live in Durham.
