Miss Mary Hodgin Womble and Ian Wayne Burdick were united in marriage October 13, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in Roaring Gap Community Church, Roaring Gap, N.C. The Rev. Darby Everhard performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Anne Sencindiver Carr and Mr. Ralph Hanes Womble both of Winston-Salem.
Mr. Burdick is the son of Ms. Pamela Sue Burdick of Pentwater,MI.
The bride’s wedding gown, with long sleeve floral lace, was accented with an illusion sweetheart neckline and a chantilly lace underlay. Her veil was a cathedral length with a soutache piping trim. Her bouquet was tussie mussie style of all whites, creams, and greens including hydrangea and both white and cream open garden roses.
Mrs. Anne Womble Hobart of Atlanta, GA. served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the sister of the groom, Andrea Burdick Fleckenstein of Kalamazoo, MI, Anna Claire Littlejohn Ash of Durham, NC, Elizabeth Jordan Chatham of Asheville, NC, Courtney Elizabeth Dyar of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Ann Greene of Morrison, CO, Kathryn Elizabeth Wood of Camden, SC and Jessie Nicole Ashurst and Margaret Anne McHugh, both from Atlanta, GA.
The flower girl was the bride’s niece, Simms Haverty Hobart of Atlanta, GA.
Jeffrey Paul Burdick of Burlingame, CA served as best man for his cousin. Groomsmen were, Ryan Wayne Burdick of Grand Rapids, MI, Alex Colin Elder of Atlanta, GA, Kenneth George Hilton of Amsterdam, Netherlands, Mitchell Allen Mullen of Brighton, MI, Kevin Anthony Rogers of Detroit, MI and Florain Bair, Dana Bryant, and Sean Michael, all from Cincinnati, OH.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at Roaring Gap Club.
The couple will reside in Atlanta, GA following their wedding trip.
