Foothills Brewing has begun bottling its popular Jade IPA after selling it for several years only as a draft beer.
Jade IPA is now available in 22-ounce bottles at Foothills Brewing, 638 W. Fourth St. Distribution across the state will begin in the next week.
Jade IPA is made with a combination of hops. including Pacific Jade. "The malt body is just enough for a touch of sweetness, but from an aromatic and flavor standpoint, the combination of Jade, Citra and Chinook hops is the star of this beer," said head brewer T.L. Adkisson.
Jade IPA was introduced during Super Bowl weekend in 2011.
Jamie Bartholomaus, the president and brewmaster at Foothills, said that the decision to bottle Jade IPA came after customers requested it. “We’ve had a lot of craft beer drinkers ask us to do this. It’s gotten to the point that we think it’ll pull off the shelf pretty well.”
