Winston Salem Cycling Classic Women's Road Race

The peloton turns the corner from Fourth Street to Main Street on during a recent Winston Salem Cycling Classic women’s road race.

SPINNING WHEELS: The Winston-Salem Cycling Classic will return for three days of racing, most of which will be centered in downtown. The classic will begin on May 25 with a full day of criteriums around Bailey Park in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, culminating with races at 5 and 6 p.m., featuring professionals from around the world. May 26 will feature “gran fondos” or long rides through the countryside around Lewisville. There will be a festival at Shallowford Square with a kids’ rodeo, food trucks and vendors. On May 27, the classic will feature road races beginning at Bailey Park. The events are free. For more information, visit www.winstonsalem cycling.com.
