Joyce Farms, a local wholesale meat company, is offering another sale of meats to the public at a discounted price in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Last weekend, the company held its first parking-lot sale to the public. Jared Keiper of Joyce Farms said that the idea for the sale came in response to the fact that some supermarkets had been running out of chicken.
This week's sale will include 18-pound cases of chicken breast medallions for $40; 18-pound cases of chicken tenders for $40; whole, 11-pound strip loins (10 to 12 New York strip steaks) for $100; and 25-pound cases of 6 whole heritage pastured chickens for $80; and 4-pound cases of grass-fed, Angus sirloin steak for $60.
The sale will take place in the parking lot of Joyce Farms, 4787 Kinnamon Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29. Customers may pay with cash, check or credit.
