Demi Day

Demi Day, aka “The Little Rapper That Could,” will perform in Artists Unite! at The Ramkat.

Artists Unite! will present a two-day event 7 p.m. June 20 and 21 at The Ramkat, 170 W. Ninth St., Winston-Salem.

Part academics, part performance, part conversation, the event will include:

June 20: Screening of the critically acclaimed film “The Burial of Kojo,” followed by a discussion, moderated by Melva Sampson, a professor in the Wake Forest University Divinity School and leader of the Pink Robe Chronicles on Facebook, with Kimya Dennis, a professor at Salem College; and Ghanaian-born, Brooklyn-based musician, filmmaker and writer Blitz Bazawule, aka Blitz the Ambassador, who directed “The Burial of Kojo.”

June 21: Spoken word artist LB the Poet (2019 Forsyth County Artist of the Year); R&B/gospel musician Alfred Clemonts; hip-hop rapper Demi Day; and featured international artist Blitz the Ambassador with his musical ensemble.

Admission is $17.50-$35 on June 20, and $25-$40 on June 21, at www.theramkat.com/events.
