INVITATION TO BID Shelco, LLC has been contracted by Forsyth County to design and construct a new 6-1/2 level, 674 space parking deck. Design has been completed and we are now soliciting subcontractor proposals. PROJECT SCOPE: Project includes the demolition of the existing surface parking lot between Church St and Chestnut St on First St. and the construction of a 6 1/2 level 674 space precast structure which includes one below grade connector to the existing parking deck to the north, a secured first floor and fully enclosed stair towers. Solicitation for bids includes the following scopes of work, site demolition, erosion control, temporary shoring, mass excavation including haul off and haul in material, foundation wall backfill, storm drainage, utilities, fine grading, curb & gutter, asphalt paving, concrete paving, sidewalks, landscaping, concrete spread footings, cast in place foundation retaining walls, slab on grade, ground faced cmu walls, structural steel & misc. metal fabrication, barrier cables, metal and aluminum railings, roofing, aluminum canopies, waterproofing, caulking, traffic coatings, hollow metal doors/frames/ hardware, storefront glass & glazing, curtainwall glazing, overhead coiling steel security grilles, fixed decorative louvered security grilles, architectural pre-finished aluminum tube grid system, garage traffic striping, painting, signage, traffic control equipment, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC and electrical. This is a County and City Funded project and Shelco is seeking participation from all interested HUB Certified subcontractors and suppliers. All proposals shall include and highlight the value of HUB participation included in the proposal. PROJECT SCHEDULE: Bid Documents will be available Monday, June 10, 2019. A Voluntary Pre-Bid / HUB Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 10:00 am at the offices of Forsyth County 201 North Chestnut St. Multi-Purpose Room A on the 4th floor, Winston-Salem RFI's due Friday, June 14, 2019 at 12:00 noon. RFI responses issued Monday, June 17, 2019 at 12:00 noon Bids due Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon (via email to Doug and Brian -see below) Board of Commissioner approval on July 25, 2019 Subcontractor Awards begin July 26, 2019 Project start July 29, 2019 Project Completion March 31, 2020.
