Chelsea Newsom and Eric McLaren make their home in Lynchburg, Virginia, where they recall fond memories of the shimmery, elegant evening when they became man and wife. They were married at Fairview Moravian Church and had their reception in the Old Clemmons Gym decorated in charcoal grey and wine colors. They spoiled their guests with individual coffee from their favorite coffee shop in Lynchburg, Joe Beans.
The couple met through a mutual friend in college and both knew they wanted a traditional and classic wedding with a few modern elements.
“Classic, perfect and memorable are how I would describe it,” says Chelsea, who along with Eric selected the groom’s favorite musical artist Van Morrison’s “Crazy Love” by as their first dance song. “Our favorite part of the wedding day was dancing with all of our friends and family, but the best part of the planning was the cake tasting.”
