NFL hopefuls show their stuff at Pro Day

Session at WFU draws 16 despite wintry conditions

The weather conditions weren’t ideal for Monday’s NFL Pro Day at Wake Forest, but the former college players hoping to get noticed didn’t seem to mind.

“Let’s be honest, probably all of us would do anything we could to get to the NFL, so a little bad weather isn’t going to stop us,” said linebacker Carlos Fields from Winston-Salem State, one of 16 players who worked out in the wind, rain, freezing rain and snow.
