The first takeaway from Wake's 31-7 season-opening victory over Presbyterian is that if one were to take away one play, the Deacons defense played about as well as Coach Jim Grobe said it's going to need to play.

After giving up a 66-yard run on PC's first play from scrimmage, Wake allowed only 85 yards and one first down the rest of the game.
