Of all the teams still scrambling for a bowl berth, few retain as much of an opportunity to shake down the thunder on the college football landscape as Wake Forest.

With a victory today at No. 3 Notre Dame, the Deacons would not only qualify for a second straight bowl but also would all but eliminate the storied Irish program from contention for another national championship.
