Our congratulations go to the local students who recently proved that science education and innovation are alive and well in the Triad.

The Region V Science Fair held Feb. 9 featured the projects of about 150 students from the wider Region V area (which includes Forsyth, Davidson, Guilford and Stokes counties, among others) . Thirteen local students who participated, from elementary, middle and high schools, will advance to the N.C. Science and Engineering Fair in Raleigh in March. The state science fair awards plaques, money, scholarships and the opportunity to compete in national and international science fairs.
