McCrory should set a trend in leading from middle

Tuesday was a big night for the GOP in North Carolina, from Pat McCrory’s win as the first Republican governor in 20 years right down the ballot to conservatives maintaining their majority on the Forsyth County commission. Now let’s hope many of these politicians can lead from the most effective spot: the middle.

North Carolina Democrats didn’t get shut out Tuesday. They held onto some Council of State positions, and to many legislative seats that were drawn to their favor anyway.
