Editorial: An unwelcome delay in sterilization compensation

Some victims of North Carolina’s forced sterilization program have assumed for months now that they would receive their final payments by the end of this month. But now, those final payments could be months away, a development that, quite understandably, has several of these survivors upset since they say they were unaware of the delay. The state must do better at keeping the hurting, aging victims informed and moving this process along.
