Family wonders how Eden man could've died in police custody

EDEN — The family of a man who may have strangled himself Saturday in police custody is waiting for answers to how something like that could possibly happen.

Police said that Timothy Wayne Bancroft, 45, died at the station on East Stadium Drive after he was detained on suspicion of passing counterfeit bills at the Eden Flea Market.
