DOBSON – The unprecedented wave of unaccompanied children entering the U.S. unlawfully must be stopped and North Carolinians should prepare to boycott products from several Central American countries if conditions do not change, the Surry County commissioners said Tuesday, voting unanimously for resolutions that, although symbolic, thrust this rural county of 70,000-plus into the national debate on illegal immigration.
