Schools face textbook shortage

When Warren Brooker, a ninth-grader at East Forsyth High School, gets stuck on a math homework problem, he’ll text his friends, check back to notes he wrote down in class or maybe hop online to search for help.

The one thing he won’t do: check his textbook. That’s because he doesn’t have one. The Math II course that Brooker is taking is new this school year and the school district didn’t have money to buy new textbooks.
