YADKINVILLE — About 250 people gathered at Courtney Elementary School on Tuesday night to learn more about hydraulic fracturing, commonly known as fracking.

And speaker after speaker told them that fracking could lead to contaminated groundwater, air pollution and other problems in Yadkin and Davie counties.
