HAMPTONVILLE – Sgt. First Class Harold Brown was at last interred at Mountain Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday with full military honors.

American flags fluttered in a cool breeze along the edge of the small cemetery; bagpipes sounded; and the ceremony concluded in traditional fashion – with the somber tones of a trumpet playing Taps following a 21-gun salute. A 65-person, 55-motorcycle procession of military supporters escorted him to his final resting place – a 21st-century way of honoring a man who died before motorcycles really became en vogue.
