Winston-Salem State gets extra funding for meeting UNC goals

Winston-Salem State University is making the grade, according to the University of North Carolina system administration, so WSSU is being rewarded with additional funding, according to Chancellor Donald Reaves.

At a WSSU Board of Trustees’ meeting Friday, Reaves announced that the school will receive about $200,000 in additional funds from the UNC administration based on WSSU’s strong performance in meeting graduation and retention rate goals set by the state.
