Man pleads guilty to fatal shooting of 63-year-old man he mistook for turkey

At 7 a.m. April 16, Haylon Keith Anderson put on a bathrobe, grabbed a 12-guage shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle and went out to kill a turkey.

Instead, he killed a 63-year-old Kernersville man who had gone out earlier that day to hunt turkeys, Forsyth County prosecutors said Monday.
