UPDATE: Deputy expected to make full recovery after being shot in Davie County standoff

MOCKSVILLE — A 19-year-old Davie County man was arrested Wednesday night after he was accused of shooting a deputy and a police dog during a standoff before surrendering to authorities.

Deputy Chris Fleming was in stable condition today at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and is expected to make a full recovery, the Davie County Sheriff's Office said this morning.
