Officials study safety of intersection near Reagan

The intersection at Transou and Balsom roads in Pfafftown was always dangerous, nearby residents say. But in the seven years since Reagan High School opened at that intersection, it has become, in the words of one former crossing guard, "definitely the spot in Pfafftown that everyone's afraid of."

Now, Winston-Salem transportation officials are studying that intersection after complaints from nearby residents that heavy traffic from the school has made that intersection unsafe.
