Measles outbreak spreads risk of exposure to Forsyth, Guilford counties

An outbreak of measles that began earlier this month in Stokes and Orange counties has spread the risk of exposure into Forsyth, Guilford and two other counties, the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services said Tuesday.

The number of cases has risen from eight to 19 in Stokes, Orange and Polk counties since the first report April 18. At that time, there were seven cases in Stokes and one in Orange.
