Migration helping fuel N.C. growth, census shows

Before the Great Recession slowed state growth, people moving into North Carolina from other parts of the country often fueled the state’s increase in population.

New estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau suggest that as the state and country slowly emerge from economic doldrums, newcomers may be poised to once again lead growth.
