Two Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools have been recognized for having some of the top arts education programs in the state.

Diggs-Latham Elementary School and Reynolds High School were two of five North Carolina schools to receive a John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts School of Excellence in Arts Education Award. Both are magnet schools with a focus on the arts, and were recognized for their arts education, arts integration and arts exposure, according to a news release from Arts North Carolina.
