Reynard Alton “Rennie” Corley, who was the general manager of WXII NBC-12 from 1979 to 2000, died Monday afternoon in Greenville, S.C. He was 75. He was a member of 40 boards of directors for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill and the March of Dimes.

Corley left WXII in 2000, retiring after more than 40 years in broadcasting. In a statement to employees, Hank Price, the current president and general manager of the station, wrote, “Those of you who knew Rennie remember him as a true gentleman and a leader who cared very much about both the WXII staff and the greater community. He was a dear friend of many.”
