A lengthy attempt Thursday at resolving issues of restitution led a U.S. District Court judge in Mississippi to delay the sentencing of convicted felon Calvin Phelps.

During the hearing in Aberdeen, Miss., Phelps pleaded for leniency from the court and a prison term of no more than two years instead of a potential four to five years.
