The Forsyth County Department of Social Services plans to keep 15 temporary workers this summer to help implement the new NC FAST system — a state-mandated project that could cost almost $300,000 this year.

The $66,000 contract for up to 15 temporary workers is part of $291,000 budgeted this year for NC FAST implementation in Forsyth County, according to Pat Read, business officer for Forsyth County DSS.
