BAUGUESS

KERNERSVILLE -- Mrs. Ann Mitchell Bauguess, 81, of Kernersville passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born Dec. 27, 1926, to John Frank and Willie Gray Jeffreys Mitchell. She was raised in Burlington and married to E. Reece Bauguess on Dec. 31, 1945. She was an active member of Pine Chapel Moravian Church where she was also a member of the Women' s Circle. She was the owner of Easy Way Driving School for 30 years. Mrs. Bauguess was also a member of the Eastern Star of Kernersville; the Forsyth County Ladies Fireman' s Auxiliary; the Sugar Sticks singers; the Sedge Garden United Methodist Church VIPs; and the Antique Auto Club. Ann and Reece traveled extensively in most states and countries. She loved to be with people and was a very giving and loving person. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reece, after 58 years of marriage; a sister, Jean Royall of Burlington; and her parents. Surviving are her five children, Reggie (Gerry) of Winston-Salem; Phil (Paula) of Kernersville; Mike (Phyllis) of Johnson City, Tenn.; Kandis (Keith) Fox of Pfafftown; and Tim (Lisa) of Gibsonville; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sylvia Belkov of Virginia Beach, Va. A funeral was conducted Friday, May 16, at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, 794 Sedge Garden Road in Kernersville, with the Rev. Tim Sapp, the Rev. Matthew Allen and the Rev. Norwood Green officiating. Burial followed in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family requests that memorials be made to Pine Chapel Moravian Church, 324 Goldfloss St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127, or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
