The U.S. District Court in Greensboro has allowed the American Legion and its post in Stokes County to join the lawsuit over Christian symbols in King as defendants.

Joe L. Webster, a federal magistrate judge, ruled Wednesday that the American Legion and the American Legion Post 290 of King can join the lawsuit as an intervenor. That means the attorneys for the organization would argue its position in court when the lawsuit comes to trial.
