Sherri Willard cranked up her 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super-Sport 396 for the first time in 21 years on Sunday. The car belonged to her husband, Charles Willard, until he passed away four years ago, and she decided to start it and bring it to a reunion celebration for the local oldies radio station WTOB 1380-AM in his honor.

“He got it when he was 17 years old, and that was the car that we dated in,” said Willard, a retired oncology nurse from Yadkinville. “He’s still got some things in there from when we used to go to East Bend to the drive-in when we’d date, and all my love letters are in the dash.”
