Texas, Forsyth district attorneys talk security after two prosecutors killed

Craig Watkins, the first black district attorney in Texas, has pushed for having security for prosecutors since he first took office in 2006.

He has a security detail now, provided by two investigators in his office, after Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife were killed in their home over the weekend. McLelland’s top assistant was gunned down a few weeks earlier in Texas.
