GREENSBORO — A 20-year-old man wanted in a rape and shooting in Oklahoma City was arrested here this morning, authorities said.
Donnyll Antonio Dailey, no address listed, was arrested in Greensboro by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force, the U.S. Department of Justice said Saturday in a news release.
Dailey faces charges from the Oklahoma City Police Department including burglary, shooting with intent to kill, rape, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and forcible sodomy stemming from an assault Monday.
Authorities said two men forced their way into a Lakeside Village apartment in Oklahoma City and assaulted a woman there. She had returned home from dropping her children off at school while her husband slept. When the woman opened the door, a man put a gun under her chin and forced her back into her apartment, according to the DOJ release. The woman was beaten and raped while her husband was shot several times.
Police identified Dailey and Estevon Martin as suspects. Martin was arrested in Oklahoma City, but information led officials to believe Dailey had fled to North Carolina.
The joint task force took Dailey into custody without incident Saturday morning at a Greensboro hotel, which authorities did not identify in the news release.
