After losing every single state and federal appeal so far, Kalvin Michael Smith is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review his claims of innocence in the 1995 beating of Jill Marker, an assistant manager at the Silk Plant Forest store.

James Coleman, one of Smith’s attorneys, filed a petition Thursday asking the court to review Smith’s case.
