Unifi to expand recycled yarn fabrics center

Increasing demand for Unifi Inc.’s recycled yarn fabrics is leading the company to expand production and staffing at its Yadkinville plant.

The Greensboro yarn manufacturer said today it is spending $5 million to increase the size of its Repreve recycling center, which debuted a little more than three years ago as an initial $8 million investment. Once the expansion is complete, Unifi will have spent $15 million on the center.
