Ike Keener, the longtime chief executive of Allegacy Federal Credit Union, announced his retirement Thursday, effective April 30, after 16 years at the helm and 38 years overall with the financial institution.

The Winston-Salem credit union’s board of directors has named Cathy Pace, president of its credit union division, as Keener’s successor. Pace, 56, has worked at Allegacy for 34 years.
