BB&T extends retirement age for Kelly

Kelly King has been given the opportunity to go beyond a pivotal transitional leader at BB&T Corp. to establishing a legacy at the Winston-Salem bank.

BB&T’s board of directors said in a regulatory filing Thursday it has approved eliminating the automatic expiration of King’s employment term as chief executive when he turned 65.
