Convicted felon Calvin Phelps, facing a long-delayed sentencing Thursday, is pleading for leniency and no more than a two-year prison term, rather than a potential 51 to 63 months.

The sentencing takes place at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in U.S. District Court in Mississippi.
