Wake Forest Baptist gets OK on replacing medical scanners

The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services confirmed this week that Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has received a certificate of need that gives it permission to spend $5.9 million to replace a fixed MRI scanner and a fixed CT scanner.

The center, which applied as N.C. Baptist Hospital, also said it would renovate existing space with the project.
